Your data stays on your device
QBOtoExcel converts QBO files entirely in your browser. Your file contents are never transmitted to our servers, so your financial data remains under your control at all times. The conversion runs locally, and the downloaded XLSX or CSV file is produced from data that never leaves your device.
What we collect
We do not collect, store, or process the contents of the QBO files you convert. Because the conversion is client-side, we have no access to the transaction data itself. The only data we may handle is basic, non-identifying information needed to operate the site, such as anonymized analytics about which pages are visited and how the site performs.
Data retention
We do not retain your QBO files or any derived conversion output. Since nothing is uploaded, there is nothing for us to store, archive, or delete on our side. Any temporary, non-identifying analytics data is kept only as long as needed for site operation and is not tied to your conversion activity.
Cookies
We may use strictly necessary cookies for core site functionality, such as remembering your preferences or maintaining a session. Any analytics cookies are limited to aggregate, non-identifying usage data. We do not use cookies to track the contents of the files you convert.
Third-party services
The converter runs locally and does not send your QBO file contents to any third party. Where we use service providers for site infrastructure or analytics, they receive only aggregated, non-identifying information and are bound by their own privacy obligations. The QBO converter does not upload file contents, and any transaction data you convert stays on your device.
Children's privacy
QBOtoExcel is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Because we do not collect the contents of converted files or require an account to use the converter, we do not hold personal information from children.
